This Acceptable Use Policy describes prohibited uses of Smart Receptionist. It supplements the Terms of Service and applies to all users, customers, administrators, and authorized account users.
1. General Rule
You may use Smart Receptionist only for lawful, authorized, and legitimate business purposes. You may not use the platform in ways that are abusive, deceptive, unlawful, harmful, or that create unreasonable risk to Smart Receptionist, its vendors, carriers, customers, or the public.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use Smart Receptionist to:
A. Break the law
- violate any applicable privacy, telecom, consumer protection, employment, marketing, anti-spam, or recording law
- engage in unlawful telemarketing, robocalling, or SMS practices
- transmit illegal content or facilitate illegal conduct
- violate sanctions or export restrictions where applicable
B. Commit fraud or deception
- impersonate a person, business, government agency, emergency service, or brand without authorization
- misrepresent whether a call, message, or response came from a human or AI where disclosure is legally required
- phishing, spoofing, scamming, social engineering, or obtaining information through deceptive means
- submit false identity, billing, or business information
C. Abuse messaging or calling channels
- send spam, bulk unsolicited marketing, or abusive text campaigns
- engage in unlawful robocalling or auto-dialing
- evade carrier filtering, opt-out requests, or compliance safeguards
- generate nuisance traffic, call flooding, or repeated unwanted contact
- use purchased or scraped lists without proper legal basis or consent
D. Misuse recording, transcription, or customer data
- record, monitor, or transcribe calls where prohibited by law
- use transcripts or communications to discriminate unlawfully or harass individuals
- store or process sensitive data in ways not supported or permitted by the platform
- collect payment card, health, or other regulated information through workflows not designed for that use
E. Abuse AI functionality
- use AI outputs to deceive, manipulate, or defraud
- use the service to generate unlawful threats, harassment, or harmful misinformation
- rely on AI outputs in a way that creates foreseeable harm in emergency or high-risk scenarios
- attempt to train external models on platform outputs or scrape internal product behavior without authorization
F. Attack or interfere with the platform
- probe, scan, reverse engineer, or test vulnerabilities without authorization
- bypass account permissions, usage controls, or system restrictions
- interfere with service stability, rate limits, logging, or monitoring
- upload malware, malicious code, or harmful automation
- use the service in a way that could damage carrier reputation or platform deliverability
3. Customer Consent and Compliance Duties
Customers are responsible for:
- obtaining legally required consents for calling, texting, recording, and transcription
- honoring unsubscribe, STOP, and similar requests where applicable
- maintaining accurate sender identity and business information
- supervising employees and contractors who use the platform
- configuring the system in a lawful and commercially reasonable manner
4. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend, restrict, or terminate access without prior notice if we believe your use violates this Policy, the Terms of Service, applicable law, or poses risk to Smart Receptionist, telecom providers, or others.
We may also remove content, disable workflows, block message sending, reclaim numbers, or cooperate with law enforcement or third parties where reasonably necessary.
